It is necessary

  • - conducted Internet (dedicated line);
  • - digital cable receiver (set-top box);
  • - remote controller;
  • - A / V cable;
  • - HDMI cable (for HD TV);
  • - card for conditional access to digital TV.

Instructions

Step 1

Anyone who has an Internet connection in their apartment can connect digital television. To transmit a digital signal from an Internet cable to a TV, various devices are used, the list of which depends on the type of your TV receiver.

Step 2

To connect to high-quality television, purchase a receiver (set-top box) - a plastic or metal box that is installed on or next to the TV. This device is suitable for all types of television receivers.

Step 3

If you have a regular TV, then by unplugging the receiver from the outlet, disconnect the antenna cable from it and connect it to the Cable IN of the receiver. Connect the Cable OUT on the set-top box to the input on the TV receiver from where you removed the antenna cable with an A / V cable. Connect an internet cable to the first port of the set-top box.

Step 4

If you are the owner of an HD TV, then connect the disconnected receiver to the receiver with an HDMI cable, which allows you to transmit a higher quality signal than in the case of a conventional TV. Then also connect the internet cable using the first port of the receiver.

Step 5

Insert the conditional access card provided by your provider into the corresponding slot of the receiver in the direction of the arrow with the metal contacts facing down. Without this card, access to digital television is impossible.

Step 6

After installing the card, plug the receiver into an outlet, turn on the TV. Wait a while for the conditional access card to automatically activate. If, after 10-20 minutes, TV viewing is still unavailable, call your provider to force the card to be activated.

Step 7

If your TV has a built-in DVB-C tuner, you can use the CI module instead of the set-top box. To connect to digital television through this module, insert an access card into it and simply install the CI into a special slot of your television receiver.
