Instructions
Step 1
Purchase a telephone that supports the automatic number identification function. Connect it to a telephone wall jack and, if necessary, connect to a power source (may vary depending on your phone model). Please note that the function may already be active at the time of purchase, as, for example, in many Panasonic models.
Step 2
Check if automatic number identification is working by waiting for an incoming call to your landline phone. If the number of the caller is identified, then the function was activated by default. Please note that this may all depend on the telephone exchange serving you.
Step 3
Also, if you stop using this function by simply disabling it in the menu of your phone, it will not automatically be disconnected from the list of services provided by the telephone company, so you will have to contact them with a written statement to stop providing the automatic caller ID function.
Step 4
If the automatic number identification function on your landline telephone has not turned on automatically, fill out an application for connecting the service at the office of your telephone company. You will need a passport with a residence permit at the address at which this landline phone number is registered or any other person who has the right to make changes of this kind to the list of services provided.
Step 5
In order to enable automatic caller ID for your cell phone, activate this function in the call settings section. Caller ID is usually already enabled for subscribers of all cellular operators. If it was disabled earlier, then you can activate it by contacting technical support.
