If you like to chat via Skype and Mail Agent, you probably have a separate microphone, headset, or microphone built into your laptop. Everything goes well until your microphone breaks. For reasons unknown to you, he stops responding to signals arriving in the field of his activity. If you are already thinking about buying a new microphone - do not rush. On your own, you can turn old headphones from your phone into a new microphone.
It is necessary
Headphones from the phone, jack "3, 5" plug, connecting wires, soldering iron
Instructions
Step 1
Of course, the easiest way out, in your case, is to use old headphones from your phone. There may be 2 options here. You can use the headphones directly, or you can use only the microphone. The first option is more loyal and will only take a couple of minutes of your time. Go to a radio parts store, buy an adapter that will convert a thin jack 2, 5 plug into a jack 3, 5 plug. Connect the adapter to the headphone plug and use not only the microphone, but the entire headset.
Step 2
Also in this case it is possible to do the following: connect the headset to the phone - connect the phone and computer via a Bluetooth connection. This option pays for itself in terms of lower costs (if you have a Bluetooth adapter).
Step 3
Considering the last way to solve the problem, it is worth noting that you will have to solder the wires. If you do not know how to do this, ask your friends or acquaintances for help, although this is not difficult. First, arm yourself with a heated soldering iron, rosin and some solder. You need to solder the pre-prepared two-wire wire to the jack 3, 5 plug.
Step 4
After connecting the plug and wire, pick up the headphones from the phone. Disassemble the small case, which has a built-in "Answer" button. You will see a small microphone. Solder the bare portion of the two-wire wire to the microphone. You can reassemble the case. You can also remove the microphone from the headset, but the headset will lose its integrity.
Step 5
If everything was done correctly and the wires in the splices did not close, then when you connect the microphone to the computer, you will hear the sounds of clicks characteristic of a working microphone.
