Over time, the operation of the mobile device slows down, the smartphone may not work quite correctly, often reboot and function poorly. This also applies to devices running the Android operating system. To fix this problem, you need to format the device and its removable memory.
Instructions
Step 1
Formatting resets all settings made on the phone and returns the operating system to the original state in which the phone was released from the factory. Before clearing the memory, you need to back up the data saved on your smartphone. To do this, use the "Data backup" menu item. If this option is not available in the phone, install any third-party utility that saves device data and makes a backup copy. Among the most popular programs of this type are Root Uninstaller or Easy Backup.
Step 2
Download any application for creating backups through the Market and install it. Back up important data to an SD card using the functionality of the installed application. After the backup is complete, remove the flash drive from the device.
Step 3
Go to the smartphone menu and select the "Settings" section. Among the options that appear, select "Privacy" - "Reset settings". This operation will delete the Google account saved in the system, reset application settings and uninstall all downloaded utilities. The reset program does not remove system programs and packages.
Step 4
Confirm that you want to delete all data. Wait for the device to reboot and select the language you are using, and enter all the basic settings following the instructions on the device screen.
Step 5
If necessary, you can also format the flash card directly in the device, but first you need to back up the most important data and applications installed on the device. You can also copy the necessary data to your computer, and later move it back to the media. You can copy the most important programs to your phone using the application manager ("Settings" - "Applications" - "Application management").
