Step 1
All modern Nokia phones support firmware over-the-air. In other words, you can flash your phone without even connecting it to a computer, using only GPRS, EDGE, 3G or Wi-Fi. If you use any other communication channel, your expenses will depend on the tariffs for the mobile Internet of your cellular operator.
Step 2
To flash your Nokia phone, open the Options menu and go to the Phone section. Here, select "Phone Management" and open the "Device Update" section. You will see all the information about the phone model, the language used and the installed firmware version. Press "Options" and then "Check for updates". If available firmware updates are found on the Nokia server, the phone will inform you and offer to update the software. You have to agree and the phone will perform all the actions by itself, and the firmware will be updated.
Step 3
To flash your Nokia phone using a PC using an internet connection on your PC, you must connect your phone with a USB cable to your PC. Then select the PC Suite connection option in your phone and install the Nokia Software Updater program on your computer, which can be downloaded from the official Nokia website www.nokia.ru. After installing the program, you just need to launch it and follow the prompts to update the firmware. The entire firmware process is automated and you can easily upgrade the firmware.
