To ensure stable operation of mobile phones, it is recommended to periodically update their firmware. This procedure must be performed using special software.
It is necessary
- - Nokia Software Updater;
- - USB cable;
- - new sim card.
Instructions
Step 1
To get started, visit the official website of the developers of the mobile phone you are using. Find the new firmware version. Be extremely careful. Remember that installing firmware from a different phone model can lead to complete damage to the device.
Step 2
Download the firmware file. Unpack it from the archive. For Nokia phones, it is wiser to use the Software Updater provided by that company. This program is official. With its help, you can flash phones that have not expired the warranty period.
Step 3
Install this software and prepare your mobile phone for the firmware upgrade process. To do this, be sure to charge the device battery. Insert a SIM card into your phone, which is less likely to call you. Better to get a new card. Be sure to disable the PIN code prompt when turning on the device.
Step 4
Connect the included mobile phone to the computer. This connection is made via a USB cable. Run the firmware installer program. Click the Change button and specify any empty folder. Click the Next button and wait until the files are unpacked.
Step 5
Open the Nokia Software Updater application. Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet. In some cases, you can use your mobile phone as a modem.
Step 6
The firmware update process will start immediately after the mobile device is detected. Click the Next buttons several times to enable the required operations.
Step 7
If you have not downloaded the firmware for the phone yourself, the NSU program will perform this action automatically. Use this method only if absolutely necessary. Various failures while downloading files can damage your phone.
