A camcorder nowadays does not surprise anyone. This miracle of technology is now present not only among television people, but also among ordinary users who want to document important moments in life. But if for home use you can limit yourself to an amateur video camera, then for more serious activities you will need a professional model.
Instructions
Step 1
Camcorders are not only professional and ordinary. There is another type - semi-professional, which are close in functionality to professional ones and are used by advanced amateurs and even some operators for filming reports. If you do not work as an operator in a large television studio, then feel free to make a choice in favor of a semi-professional video camera, because it gives much better quality than household models.
Step 2
Semi-professional cameras have a good three-matrix lens (CCDs of at least 1/4 ") with a diameter of 58 mm or more. Such parameters provide high sensitivity and, accordingly, excellent shooting quality even in the dark, which is a problem for most household camcorders. Professional cameras also have three matrices with a minimum size of 1/2 ", without an LCD screen and autofocus, but with interchangeable lenses. Such cameras are much heavier than semi-professional ones and, of course, much more expensive. Therefore, even making money by filming, do not rush to shell out for such a model - the semi-professional one will provide you with all the necessary set of functions and high quality shooting.
Step 3
Semi-professional cameras weigh from two to four kilograms, they are shoulder-mounted and hand-held. Unlike household models, semi-professional ones always have a handle for easy carrying. A "cannon" (directional microphone) or a standard microphone is usually located in front of the handle. Semi-professional cameras record on cassettes, although today you can also find flash-based ones. Such camcorders are available from Panasonic, Canon, Sony. Their information is recorded in AVCHD format (resolution 1920 x 1080).
Step 4
A semi-professional video camera necessarily has a ZOOM function, which can be digital and optical. Note that there are very few digital effects in semi-professional models, since professional shooting is almost always done "clean", so that later they can be processed using other means as necessary, because shooting with built-in effects cannot be cleared of them.
