To begin with, it should be noted a number of features common to all modern batteries. Almost all of them are lithium-ion. They differ from ordinary alkaline batteries in their large capacity, durability and preservation of their original characteristics even after hundreds of full "discharge-charge" cycles. If the battery is discharged, then you should not try to charge it in a different way from the one intended by the manufacturer - using the original charger. At the moment there are many chargers on the market that are marketed as "exact copies of the original". These words can be trusted only if the manufacturer of this charger has official confirmation from the manufacturer of the device, to which the "charger" is intended. You can resort to a number of measures to extend the life of the battery. First, you need to know that lithium-ion, like any other batteries and accumulators, do not like too high temperatures and heat, since at excessively high temperatures, the battery discharge rate increases significantly. Do not hold the device in your hands for too long, because the warmth of your hands with prolonged exposure will have a detrimental effect on the battery life. Secondly, if the device is not used for a long time, this does not mean that the battery is not discharged. It still undergoes chemical reactions that discharge the battery. If the device will not be used for a while, it is worth removing the battery from it and placing it in a cool place, such as a refrigerator. The cold will delay the deterioration process. Many device manufacturers include spare batteries and multifunction chargers with them, which can operate from either an AC power source in the outlet or from a plug inside the car.
