Step 1
Prepare the connection of the subwoofer to your audio system. Set up the speaker and 4-channel amplifier circuitry so that all front and rear speakers in the circuit use the front two amplifier channels. To do this, a crossover with a high-pass filter must be installed on them.
Step 2
Double the power by switching the rear channels of the amplifiers to mono. Connect the subwoofers to the amplifier using gauge 12 speaker wires. Make sure the rear channel has a crossover and low pass filter. Before attaching the subwoofer, determine the optimal crossover value.
Step 3
Fix the case with L-shaped metal corners, fix it to the floor or wall. Make sure that all gaps between the body and the corners are covered with silicone.
Step 4
Determine the optimal placement of the subwoofer in the trunk by repositioning it until you get the sound you want. Many people love the sound that is produced by directing the subwoofers backwards, which allows the waves to travel further and achieve deep bass. You can also direct the subwoofers towards the seats to give you tangible bass.
Step 5
Find the best crossover value. To do this, set the low-pass filter on the amplifier to 100 Hz, then turn on music playback and watch the subwoofers. The lower the frequency, the less movement. Excessive movement indicates sound distortion. Most audio systems perform best at eighty to eighty-five Hz.
