By default, in Russia, the iPhone is most often not activated, tk. in most cases, deliveries come from European countries. When buying an iPhone from one of the Big Three operators (MTS, Beeline, Megafon), activation is done by the operators themselves. Otherwise, you will have to complete the activation process yourself.
It is necessary
- - iPhone;
- -SIM-card with a known PIN-code (for iPhone 4 - micro-SIM!);
- - computer with Internet access;
- - iTunes
Instructions
Step 1
Open the box and take out the iPhone and the computer connecting cable.
Step 2
Download and install the latest available version of iTunes to continue using your device.
Step 3
Insert the SIM card into the device and enter (if necessary) the pin code.
Step 4
Connect your iPhone to your computer with a connecting cable and wait for iTunes to launch automatically.
Step 5
Confirm your agreement with the activation of the device in the opened dialog box of the program.
Step 6
Wait for the message “iPhone activated successfully” to appear and disconnect the device from the computer.
For more advanced users, a method developed by Sam Benger using Subscriber Artificial Mode (SAM) is proposed.
Step 7
Download and install the latest Redsn0w 0.9.6b6 (available for Windows and Mac OS).
Step 8
Jailbreak using the installed Redsn0w software.
Step 9
Enter the Cydia app store and add a new repository https://repo.bingner.com to the list of resources
Step 10
Find and install the SAM and SAMPrefs apps on your device.
Step 11
Run the Redsn0w 0.9.6b6 program and select the Deactivate option to restore the original lockdownd file required for the SAM application to work correctly.

Open the Settings menu on your iPhone and go to SAM.

Select the Deactivate iPhone command.

Connect your device to your computer and open iTunes. The activation process will be performed automatically.
Step 15
Specify the required operator in the SAM program settings when a warning about an incorrect SIM card appears.

Use the Ultrasn0w 1.2 program to perform the Unlock operation of your iPhone, which allows the device to work with any cellular operator.
