Any office needs a facsimile machine (fax) for full functioning. To use it, you first need to configure it. To do this, read the instructions that came with the fax and the instructions below.
Instructions
Step 1
Set the fax to answering machine / fax mode. It works like this. The fax is ringing. It will automatically recognize the tone. If this is a regular call, the answering machine will turn on. If any document has been sent, your Panasonic fax will automatically receive it. Don't forget to record your message on your answering machine. In it, inform you that you can leave a voice message after the beep. If the caller wants to send a fax, then he needs to press the Start button.
Step 2
Connect the fax to a separate line, if possible. In this case, it is very convenient to set up Panasonic fax as follows. Set it to "Fax" mode. In this case, all calls will be perceived as a document transfer. The device will automatically accept them without any of your intervention. If there is such a need, then define the number of rings in the fax machine settings, after which it will automatically respond to receiving documents.
Step 3
Set the fax mode to "Phone" if you need to answer all phone calls in person. Then you have to receive the fax manually. If you pick up the handset and hear a long beep, it means that a fax has been sent to you. Click the Start button. If you need to urgently cancel the transmission of the document, click the Stop button.
Step 4
Connect an additional telephone to the fax line and set it to tone mode if the fax is far enough from your workplace. Configure the remote wake-up settings on the fax. To receive a fax, pick up the handset from the installed telephone and press the * # 9 buttons. Setting up a Panasonic fax machine is quite simple. In order for it to function normally, then it is enough just to handle it carefully. Do not start faxing when there is no paper in the tray and replace the cartridge promptly.
