A navigator is a special electronic device that consists of a receiver for signals from a satellite navigation system, as well as other signals (cellular, computer, etc.). This system can be regional or global (GPS, GLONASS).

Step 1
When purchasing a navigator, you also purchase a license key for the navigation program, which includes maps of Russia. This key is a document confirming the right to use the navigation system.
Step 2
In order to add a map to the navigator you need a memory card. Please note that for each device you need to select your own flash card: the older the navigator model, the less volume (in GB) it is desirable to install the card. Otherwise, the navigator may freeze during operation.
Step 3
After that, register on the website of the company that released the model of your navigator. When registering, enter information about the device (car or phone), give the device a name at your discretion (for example, you can name it by the make of the car or phone). Then enter the license key number and model number of your navigator.
Step 4
Go to the directory "My devices (updates)", where all the models you registered will be displayed. In the "Available Updates" subdirectory select the type of map that is compatible with your navigator. Click on the "download" button.
Step 5
Remove the memory card from the navigator and insert it into the computer, write navigation maps directly to the flash card using a reader. This will significantly reduce the time for recording data.
Step 6
If you need to update city maps, from the root directory of the "flash drive" or from the program folder (depending on the model), delete the program files, leaving only the file "NavitelAuto Activation Key.txt" and the file "Registration Keys.txt" (if it exists) …
Step 7
Copy the contents of the downloaded archive to a memory card. If in the update that you downloaded, the program files were in the folder, transfer the entire folder to the SD-card, without changing the directory structure in any way. Start the navigator.
