Pay attention to the available shooting modes. Having the modes you need will allow you to quickly set exactly the camera settings that you need at the moment. Check if you can use a specific type of memory card. Some manufacturers, such as Sony, make cameras that only accept Memory Stick Duo cards. Most other cameras support SD cards, which is the most popular format.
