For some phone models, the function of connecting a removable USB storage using a special cable is provided, however, there are very few such models of mobile devices.
Necessary
cable for connection
Instructions
Step 1
Make sure you can connect a USB storage device to your phone model. You can read about this in the instructions for your mobile device or on the manufacturer's official website by performing a preliminary search by marking. Please note that this type of connection is available only for phones connected using a mini-USB interface, in all other cases this action will be unavailable.
Step 2
Purchase a special cable for connecting a flash drive via the mini-USB port. These are quite rare on the market. You can find them at computer peripheral outlets, radio points of sale, and so on. Also browse the assortment of cell phone stores.
Step 3
You can also order this adapter in special online stores, but first make sure that the cable is exactly provided for connecting a flash drive, and not connecting the phone to a computer.
Step 4
If you have the skill, rewrite the USB cable so that there is a USB port on one end and a mini-USB on the other. Note that if you are unfamiliar with this process and do not have a few of these cables in stock, it is best not to do this yourself. Here you will need a special extension cable to connect the drive to a computer port and a mini-USB connector to connect to your phone.
Step 5
Connect the cable to your phone and flash card. Go to the gallery of your mobile device or open the file manager, after which the data in the drive will be available for use. Please note that some flash cards may not be supported by the phone, mainly those with a chipset manufactured earlier than 2009. There may also be incompatibility between file systems and drive size.
