Modern pocket computers allow quick replacement of the operating system. Many users prefer to use Linux OS, especially if they are familiar with its features, design and settings. This system is especially useful for business professionals who want full access to their computer. Special software makes it easy to install the system on your device.

Instructions
Step 1
Purchase a special multimedia memory card from your computer supplier's brand store or order it online. Remove the protective cover from the back of your PDA. Remove the battery and insert the multimedia card. Insert the battery. Replace the protective cover of the device. Turn it on.
Step 2
Save all your files, media, videos and music to your multimedia card. Installing a Linux system on a device can destroy all of your data. Select successively all the files that you want to save, and click the "Options" button. From the menu, select "Save to Multimedia Card".
Step 3
Download Palm Desktop and HotSync Manager software. The first application allows you to download the latest version of the system and install it correctly on your Pocket PC. The second is necessary for proper synchronization of the device to prevent the loss of important system files of the device. Save the files to your home computer desktop. Launch Palm Desktop and follow the installation instructions.
Step 4
Download the Linux operating system installation file and save it to your desktop as well. Reboot your computer. Connect one end of the data cable to the Pocket PC. Connect the other end of the cable to a USB port on your desktop or laptop.
Step 5
Launch the HotSync Manager program. Press the Options key. Follow the further instructions in the app. Run the Linux OS installer. Press the "Sync" button. Wait for the sync to take place.
Step 6
Disconnect the data cable. Now select the "Garux" file that appears in your application menu. Wait for the system to install on your home computer. Press and hold the power button of your device. Wait 30 seconds after turning it off to turn it back on. The system is installed and ready to go!
