If you are offered to find a phone via satellite without installing any programs on it, without connecting any services from the operator, and without even obtaining permission from its owner, first read the terms of service. You will find that you are dealing with a "joke gaming service." Do not forget to familiarize yourself with the cost of providing the service. You will be surprised how "free" you are offered to find a phone, and, moreover, not really.
Step 2
Approximately (with an accuracy of several hundred meters), you can find the phone without using any satellites. Not free, but significantly cheaper than what the scammers offer. But on one condition: the subscriber agrees that his location will be determined. Ask your operator what SMS commands you should set up the phone, as well as the device of the person you are going to look for. Some operators even offer several tariffication options for such a service: unlimited or with payment for each request (which is less profitable).
Step 3
If the phone, the location of which you are going to determine, has unlimited Internet access connected, and the device is equipped with a navigation satellite receiver of the GLONASS or GPS system, install an application on it that turns it into a tracker. There are many free ones among them. For the service itself, you will also not pay anything in addition to the existing subscription fee for unlimited Internet. After that, you will have to register on a special site, enter your username and password. You will be able to see where the phone is, whenever the program is running on it. Please note that if the phone is running on the J2ME platform, the tracker program can be launched only when no other applications are used. When the program is not running, it will be impossible to locate the phone.
Step 4
If we are talking about determining the location of a phone belonging to a child, then it is better to immediately change his device to a special one. The tracker application is built into the firmware and works in the background whenever the device is turned on.
Step 5
Finally, if your phone has been stolen, but there is no location program running in the background, or an attacker found and deactivated it, the only way to detect the device would be to contact the law enforcement agencies. Pre-block your SIM card and get a new one with the same number.
