Working with video files often requires changing their format. By changing the format of the video, you can improve or slightly degrade its quality, compress the file to a more appropriate size, optimize it for posting on the Internet and sending by e-mail, and so on.
Instructions
Step 1
To get started, search the net and download the free and convenient program for converting video files "Super". Similarly, you can later use any other utility for converting.
Step 2
Install the program and run it, then right-click on the open program window and select the "Add multimedia files" section from the menu. Specify the path to the video file you want to convert and open it in the program.
Step 3
The current file format will be displayed next to the open video file. Click the Select the output container button and select from the list the video format into which you want to convert your file - for example, to AVI or MPEG.
Step 4
After specifying the format for conversion, select the appropriate quality codec for the file using the Select the output video codec list.
Step 5
By specifying the DivX codec and re-encoding the file in this way, you can compress the file size without loss of quality in order to post it later on the Internet.
Step 6
If desired, resize the window of the future video file by specifying the size of the picture in Video Scale Size.
Step 7
After all the operations have been completed and the file format has changed, click Preview the last rendered file to view the finished video and check the correctness of its playback.
