Step 1
The method of writing SMS text directly depends on the model of your mobile phone. Traditional devices have 10 standard buttons for the set of symbols: these are 10 digits, while an additional option for each button is a set of several letters of the Russian and English alphabets. The first way to type an SMS message is letter by letter. Open the window for composing a new message. Enter text by clicking on the button with the desired letter. Look at the number of this letter depicted on the phone button. If it is the first, press the button once. If the second (for example, the letter "B"), press twice, and so on. Type the word by letter, make sure that the word is displayed correctly on the screen. Use the "C" button to erase the last characters.
Step 2
Use the Spacebar to separate words from each other. As a rule, it is located on the "0" or "*" button, depending on the phone model. To set punctuation marks, you need to switch the case or use the "1" button.
Step 3
For convenience and speed of typing, the phones are equipped with the "T9" dictionary. This program recognizes the word you are typing by the first letters. Using "T9", press once on each key with the desired letter, regardless of where it is located. If the word you need is in the dictionary, the phone will identify it and enter it into the text of the message. If the word is unfamiliar, "T9" will prompt you to enter it "manually" following method # 1.

It is much easier to type sms on phones with qwerty keyboards. Each letter in them is located on a specific key and resembles a computer keyboard. When typing SMS in such a phone, press once on each desired button. Switch the language layout if you need to use the Latin alphabet. The foreign letter buttons appear on qwerty in the same order as on a computer keyboard.
Step 5
Some touchscreen phones have swype keyboards. It allows you to type SMS text with one touch by swiping your finger across the screen. Open the SMS creation window. The swype keyboard will appear on the screen in the same order as qwerty. Click on the first letter of the word. Then, without lifting your finger, slide it across the keyboard, connecting the necessary letters in the desired sequence. After marking the last letter, lift your finger. The word will be displayed in the message box. Press "space" and write SMS further.
