The speaker system built into a computer is not always able to meet the increased requirements of the user. By connecting external speakers to your computer, you will be able to fully use the system's capabilities to ensure high-quality sound design for games, listening to music and watching videos.
It is necessary
- - passive acoustic speakers;
- - receiver amplifier.
Instructions
Step 1
Purchase and prepare a receiver. For passive acoustics to work fully, it is not enough to have a signal source and an acoustic system. The signal must be received, amplified and directed to the speakers. You can use a receiver and an amplifier for this purpose, made in the same housing, or purchase these systems separately. The receiver must have at least five inputs.
Step 2
Select and prepare your speakers. Place the speakers around your computer in a layout that suits you. Connect the receiver to your speaker system using the connectors on the rear panel. Now you can connect the receiver to the system unit.
Step 3
Be sure to connect correctly when connecting the receiver to your computer. Make note of the location of the connectors, as well as in which jacks the connecting wires from each of the speakers are located. It is best to depict the connection order on a piece of paper.
Step 4
Connect the subwoofer to the yellow jack located on the back of the computer system unit. Also connect the two matching cables to the line-in and mic-in.
Step 5
Open the sound card settings menu and indicate there that you connect the output device to the center channel.
Step 6
If the receiver has an analog input and a signal output connector for a low-frequency acoustic device, connect a subwoofer to the receiver. If the latter is not available, use only speakers in the speaker system.
Step 7
Please note that the subwoofer can also be active, powered from the mains. If you later want to install an active speaker system, you will need an active subwoofer that has a built-in signal amplifier and connectors for connection. In this case, connect the speakers to the subwoofer connectors located at the rear of the subwoofer.
