Optimal monitor setup is essential, whether you're working with color or simply to make the colors on your screen look as realistic as possible. Calibrate your monitor using the Windows Customizer.
Instructions
Step 1
Go to the "Start" menu and enter "Calibration" in the search bar. Select Calibrate Screen Colors from the list. Press the setting button on the monitor and return the settings to their original state by resetting them. In the Windows Monitor Calibration menu, select "Next" and then "Next" again.
Step 2
Adjust monitor gamma. Here are three pictures - with low, medium and too high gamut. Remember the center image. Click on the "Next" button. Using the slider on the left, adjust the image in the center of the screen to match the previous image as closely as possible. Your main task is to make sure that the dots in the center of the circles are minimally visible. If the slider does not give the desired effect, use the display settings. Then click "Next".
Step 3
Go to the menu for adjusting the brightness and contrast of the screen. In case you do not have access to them, skip this step. If you have access, click "Next". Three pictures with low, medium and high brightness will appear in front of you. Remember what the picture looks like with normal brightness, and then click "Next". Calibrate the brightness in such a way that the pattern in the background is clearly visible and the suit does not blend in with the shirt. Click Next.
Step 4
Three pictures will appear in front of you - with insufficient, normal and high contrast. Remember the picture in the middle. Press next and adjust the contrast of the image using the buttons on the screen, making it as high as possible without losing the display of folds and buttons on the shirt. Strive to make the picture as similar as possible to the one you remember. Click Next.
Step 5
Adjust the color balance. Make sure that the gray contains a minimum of "extra colors". Click "Next" and then remove the color highlights from the gray stripes. Use the sliders in the Windows color settings to do this. Click Next. Compare the new calibration with the old one using the "Old calibration" and "Current calibration" buttons. Then click "Finish".
