The gamepad, or as it is commonly called in the common people "joystick", is the main control tool on game consoles. It is with his help that you can control your favorite characters or special equipment in the game. Joysticks break frequently.
Instructions
Step 1
Make sure that your joystick is really out of order and that it is in it, and not in the console itself, for example. To do this, you can try connecting the gamepad to another console or diagnose the device in a special workshop.
Step 2
Get a new joystick. When buying a new device, be sure to choose only the one that will fit your console. To do this, you can take an old gamepad or tell the seller the brand of your game console. When purchasing a joystick, it is best to choose one that is marked "compatible with Windows".
Step 3
Connect the joystick using the same technology as the previous one. Modern ones use a regular USB port.
Step 4
Install the software that came with the device. To do this, insert the disc into your CD-ROM or DVD-ROM, click "AutoPlay No." and follow the instructions that appear on the screen.
Step 5
Remove the disc after the installation process has finished and restart your computer. Check joystick compatibility. Proceed to setting up your controller. Enter the game, select the "Options" function and go to the "Settings" item. Click successively "Control" and "Controller".
Step 6
Customize all the necessary keys on the joystick the way your game requires and how it is convenient for you. To do this, you need to select an action in the controller settings and then press the required key on the joystick. Thus, this key will perform the action that you have selected on the screen.
Step 7
Click "Save" or "Ok" after all the joystick settings are done. Restart the game. To do this, you need to exit the game and start it again. There is no need to reboot the computer. You can start the game with the new working joystick.
