Instructions

Step 1

No matter how expensive the flash card you purchased, its resource is limited. Each time you write to the device and erase certain information from it, you limit its working resource. Over time, free disk space becomes less and less. Even an empty 2 GB flash card will show less available memory after a while. The very same safety of files is influenced by such a factor as the correct removal of the device from the USB port. Each time you pull out the flash card after use, you create errors in the files recorded on the device, as a result of which, in the future, the correct operation of such documents is not possible. To keep the information recorded on the flash card in its original form, you need to properly disconnect the device from the computer.

Step 2

At the moment when the flash drive is connected to the computer, pay attention to the shortcuts displayed on the toolbar in the clock area. Here you will see an icon representing the USB input. This is the icon you will need when you finish working with a flash card. So, after finishing all operations with the device, do not pull it out of the PC port. Click on the above shortcut with the right mouse button and wait for the dialog box to appear. In the window that opens, click on the "Safely Remove Hardware" option. As soon as the flash drive can be removed from the USB port, the computer will notify you of this. Until this moment, it is not recommended to remove the USB flash drive.
