Like any other device, the monitor needs a major cleaning from time to time. If there is dust, fingerprints, or food debris on your screen, it’s time to get busy with your monitor. In order to properly wipe the LCD monitor without damaging it, you must follow these instructions.
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, you should disconnect the monitor from the 220 V. This way you protect yourself and protect the monitor from damage.
Step 2
Begin cleaning the monitor from the back and sides. You can simply wipe them down with a damp cloth, but be careful not to touch the monitor screen itself. In this case, the rule applies: the less you touch the screen, the better it will be for you and him.
Step 3
Next, you need to decide on the type of cleaning - dry or wet. To do this, carefully inspect the monitor for dust, grease, smudges, prints, drops.
Step 4
Dry cleaning.
In this case, you can use the vacuum cleaner by switching it on to the "Blow out" mode. Be careful not to touch the screen with metal parts of the vacuum cleaner, otherwise you may damage the monitor. Contact cleaning is used only if your vacuum cleaner has an attachment (for example, a hairy brush).
Step 5
Wet cleaning.
If your monitor has tea or coffee stains, greasy fingerprints, then you should use wet cleaning. Quite often, the display cover is plastic, so you can wipe the monitor with a slightly damp cotton cloth, the main thing is that it should be soft enough not to scratch the plastic. It is best to use a flannel, eyeglass cloth, or a special cloth. Never use normal towels - they will scratch the screen.
Step 6
Use mild water or special spray to wipe the LCD monitor. If you are going to use other products, remember that they should not contain alcohol.
Never spray liquid onto the LCD monitor. First apply the liquid to a cloth and only then wipe the monitor. It is necessary to clean the screen from the bottom up, while trying not to press on the screen.
