An RC helicopter is a scaled model of a helicopter. The helicopter flies through radio or infrared communication. It was not possible to create radio-controlled models of helicopters for a very long time. All flights did not last very long, tens of seconds. Long flights appeared thanks to the inventions of the German engineer Schlüter. Many people think that it is difficult to assemble a helicopter model on their own, but this is not so. Even a novice mechanic can assemble. After all, assembling a model is similar to assembling a constructor.
Instructions
Step 1
If you bought a helicopter model that you need to assemble yourself, then first read the instructions. If it contains words in a foreign language, translate them. Then you get rid of unforeseen situations during assembly, save time and do not damage the model. Sometimes the instructions are accompanied by inserts, which indicate updates and corrections to some parts of this manual. Therefore, please read these inserts carefully.
Step 2
Start your assembly by preparing your workspace. It should be out of the reach of small children and pets. Consider lighting. Place a white towel on the table. On a white background, all the details are better visible, in addition, they will not roll on the table. Parts and fasteners can be arranged in small boxes.
Step 3
Choose a tool: screwdrivers of different sizes, small pliers, side cutters, scalpel or model knife, hexagons, vernier calipers.
Step 4
Assembling the model. There are also subtleties here. Parts from the printed circuit board should be bite off using side cutters, and then carefully cut off burrs from them with a model knife.
Pay attention to the length of the screws and bolts and their location. Be careful. If you screw in a screw that is smaller than necessary, it will damage the model in the future. When screwing in screws and bolts, be careful not to overtighten them. Tighten tight, but at the same time carefully, pay attention to the material from which the part is made. Plastic can be fragile and there is a risk of screw twisting.
Step 5
Use a thread-Lock. It prevents self-loosening of screws and screws in vibration-loaded and critical places in the structure. The instructions usually indicate where the thread-lock should be applied. But if these places are not indicated, and you feel that the screw or screw will be able to loosen during the operation of the model, then apply this compound to the thread. Typically, a “threaded lock” is applied to bolt-nut connections, or threads. You can replace the thread-lock with superglue.
Some parts of the model will have to be lubricated. But never lubricate bare parts, so dirt will instantly adhere to them and, with further use, it will erase the part.
Step 6
Radio equipment. To avoid interference, try to install the receiver as far away from the governor power leads as possible.
