After a certain period of using a mobile phone, there comes a moment when its memory becomes full. Many users need personal data (such as photos) much more than games. To make room for them, you have to delete games.

Instructions

Step 1

Before uninstalling any games, make sure you don't really need them anymore. If you plan to install them again in the future, find a way to back them up on your computer, or find out where you can download them again if necessary.

Step 2

If your phone is based on a simple platform, for example, Nokia Series 60, and games are stored as JAR files on a memory card, delete them by temporarily moving the card to a card reader and then deleting them with any file manager on your computer. Before deleting, if desired, back up the files on your computer's hard drive. If there is a file manager in the phone, you can leave the card without rearranging, but delete the files using the phone's capabilities.

Step 3

If a phone with a simple platform has games stored in the built-in memory, and the built-in file manager has access to the games folder, use it to delete the corresponding files.

Step 4

If games are stored in the phone's memory and there is no access to the folder with them through the built-in file manager, select the submenu in which the games are stored in the phone menu, move the cursor to the name of the game you want to delete, then press the left soft key, and then in the menu that appears select "Delete".

Step 5

Some phones have the ability to connect directly to a computer without using a card reader. At the same time, some of them are defined as removable disks, while others require specialized software to work with files. If you can, use this method. Note that it is not always possible to use it on Linux.

Step 6

In phones based on Symbian platform, the only way to correctly remove games from both the built-in memory and the card is to use the so-called application manager. It's in a submenu called Tools. After launching it, wait (sometimes several minutes) while the list of applications is formed. Move the cursor to the one you want to delete, then press the "C" key. Confirm the request to uninstall the application and it will be removed (this may take a few more minutes). Then exit Application Manager. Never try to uninstall games and applications from such phone in any other way.
