Step 1
If you will be recording on a tape recorder or stereo system, proceed as follows. Open the deck and insert a cassette into it. Use the corresponding buttons to rewind to the beginning or to the point from which you want to record. Turn on the radio and tune in to the desired wavelength. When you need to start recording the desired track, press the corresponding Record button. To pause recording, use the Pause button. Press the Stop button to end recording.

Also, recording can be carried out using a microphone and a computer. Connect the microphone to your computer sound card. To connect them, you will most likely need an adapter from the jack interface, which is used by most microphones, to the mini-jack interface, which sound cards are equipped with.
Step 3
Bring the microphone close to the radio and secure with the stand. Tune the radio to the desired frequency. Start one of the audio recording software on your computer. Create a new audio track and check the audio volume level in the program monitor. Adjust the volume of the radio depending on its performance. To start recording, click the corresponding button in the program interface.
Step 4
Another option is to connect the radio to the computer directly, without using a microphone. To do this, insert one end of the wire into the receiver's audio output (AUX) socket. If not, into the headphone jack. Connect the other end of the wire to the computer's sound card.

Launch audio recording software. Check the input signal level. If you need to adjust it, select "Start" -> "Control Panel" -> "Sound".
