Instructions

Step 1

Download and install the plugin. Launch Winamp media player and connect to your favorite radio channel. But before you start recording, you need to configure the plugin.

Step 2

Click the Options button. In the "Connections" tab, check the box next to "Try to reconnect to the stream if it drops". Thanks to this setting, the plugin will reconnect to the radio stream in case of a break. To limit the size of the saved files, select “Don't rip over X megs” and then specify the file size in the “Megs” window (in megabytes). In the next tab "File" we are interested in the items "Output directory" - specify the path for future recording, "Rip to separate files", which allows you to split the file into tracks, and "Rip to single file" - to record the stream into one file, here you also need to specify the path. In the "Pattern" tab, if necessary, you can set your own type of file header, for which use the suggested tags. The setup is ready. Click "OK" and return to the plugin interface. Click the "Start" button to start recording the radio. The "Stop" button is responsible for stopping.

Step 3

The Streamripper plugin is convenient in that it allows you to contemplate all the necessary data about the recording progress (channel size, track name, stream name, size of the resulting file) without leaving it. Therefore, if the file is larger than you expected, you can stop recording Internet radio at any time. The formats supported by the plugin include: AAC, OGG, MP3, NSV. In addition, if you did close Streamripper, it can be found in the system tray. Its icon is shown in the form of the abbreviation SR.
