Flash animation can be very simple (for example, a ball rolling from one end of the screen to the other) or very complex (a flock of birds depicting an orchestra, where each bird plays its own musical instrument, and even dances). One thing is for sure: you don't need to be a genius to start your first steps in Flash.

Instructions

Step 1

The first step in creating Flash animation is Opening a new project in Flash. First, decide on the size and idea of the flash. The area where you will be making the video is called Stage.

Step 2

Draw or import existing drawings into the project. Using a drawing tool or pencil, draw the picture you have in mind. Each new color you use draw on a new layer - this will allow you to subsequently make changes to your drawing, rather than re-creating it.

Step 3

Create a symbol. In order to make Flash animation, you will need to create a symbol. Select all the layers on the screen and right-click and execute the "Convert to Symbol" command from the drop-down menu.

Step 4

After creating the symbol, click on the first command in the Properties menu. Choose Movie Clip as the symbol type and give it a simple and easily recognizable name.

Step 5

In order to animate, create layers for each symbol that you made in the Stage area. And set a new keyframe by pressing F6 or using the Insert-Timelime-Keyframe menu commands. To make the picture move, create a second keyframe by slightly moving your symbol.

Step 6

Frames go between the two keyframes. Each frame (frame) represents some small amount of time. To insert a frame, use the F5 command or use the menu - Insert - Timeline - Frame.

If you have 24 frames between the two closing frames, then the animation will last 2 seconds. If you want to add more frames - get a longer video.

Step 7

To animate the video, click on one of the frames. A menu box will appear showing the properties of the frame. Select "Motion" from the drop-down menu. This function will highlight the space between the two keyframes. Just connect them with a line and the animation is ready.

Step 8

Export your flash movie by pressing ctrl + enter or via the File - Export menu to see what you get. The resulting.swf file is suitable for uploading to the Internet.
