Xbox 360 is one of the most popular consoles of recent times. It is equipped with a wired or wireless controller, which gets dirty very quickly due to its snow-white coating. The device literally attracts dust, which affects its performance. Therefore, it is necessary to clean it periodically so that the gamepad lasts as long as possible.
Necessary
a thin Phillips or slotted screwdriver
Instructions
Step 1
Remove the battery. Unscrew the back of the joystick using a small Phillips screwdriver. You need to unscrew the 6 screws that are on the panel itself, and one screw that is under the sticker behind the battery slot. Place the screws so that you do not lose them.
Step 2
Carefully remove both joystick covers and take out the microcircuit. Remove the top panel (under which the triggers are located) and the bottom gray plastic part. Do not remove the elastic bands on the buttons yet.
Step 3
Unscrew the controller cross, which is screwed on with 2 screws and secured with latches. First unscrew the screws and only then try to release the metal latches with the same screwdriver. Then you can push out the cross.
Step 4
Remove the rubber bands from the joystick buttons. To remove the side trigger, release the plastic part that is inserted into the corresponding slot in the button mechanism. Then bend the two side latches, tilt the trigger and remove it, and then remove the springs themselves.
Step 5
The joystick is disassembled. Clean all parts of it, replace the required parts. Reassemble the controller in reverse order.
