Instructions
Step 1
Open the body of the Xbox 360 game console. To do this, gently release the latches on the side panel and slide it open. Remove the rubber feet from the device. Use a long and thin screwdriver to open the two latches on the sides of the Xbox 360 end cap.
Step 2
Unfasten the remaining latches neatly and lift off the plastic cover. Remove the warranty hologram. You will no longer need it, since the flashing itself will deprive you of this privilege. Fold back the four fasteners and open the attachment body. Remove the dummy button to open the DVD drive. Unscrew the housing screws and remove the DVD drive bezel.
Step 3
Prepare a bootable floppy disk. To do this, you need to insert it into the floppy drive. After that go to "My Computer", where right-click on the shortcut of the floppy disk and press the "Format" button. A dialog box will appear, in which you must put a checkmark next to the inscription "Create a bootable MS-DOS disk", and then click on the "Start" button.
Step 4
Download the DosFlash 16 program from the Internet, which is necessary for the firmware. Copy the files from her folder to a floppy disk. If your personal computer is not equipped with a floppy drive, then you can create a bootable USB flash drive in a similar way.
Step 5
Turn off your computer. Disassemble its case to access the motherboard and SATA cables. Disconnect all SATA devices from the motherboard, then connect the Xbox 360 to it using the SATA connector on the drive. It should be taken into account that the potential difference can lead to a breakdown of one of the devices, therefore, it is necessary to install the attachment as far as possible or organize a common grounding bus.
Step 6
Start your computer and enter BIOS. Set in the settings to boot from a bootable floppy disk or flash drive. Save changes and exit BIOS. After loading Dos and the command line appears, you need to turn on the Xbox 360. Type dosflash16 in the command line, press Enter and enter the number "0" or "1".
Step 7
After that, numbers and letters will be displayed on the screen, turn off the set-top box for 5 seconds. A request will appear in which you need to select the "Read" command, for which press the R key. Confirm your choice and enter a name for the saved firmware. Turn off your computer and set-top box.
Step 8
Reconnect all SATA devices and boot the computer, making sure to reset the BIOS settings. Insert a bootable floppy disk or USB flash drive. Unpack the archive with the firmware and select the folder with the number "12", which means the future speed of the drive.
Step 9
Copy the created firmware to this folder, then run the Make iXtreme firmware.bat file and press any key. A new firmware for your Xbox 360 will appear with the name ix14.bin. To install it, you need to repeat the steps of the previous two paragraphs, only during the request, select not the "Read" command, but "Write". As a result, you will receive a flashed prefix.
