One of the features of the Xbox 360 Elite is an internet connection. Due to this, online play with any rivals becomes available. To connect your console to the Internet, use one of several methods.
Instructions
Step 1
The first option is to connect the game console directly to an internet cable. The Xbox 360 has an integrated network card and a set of drivers required to operate. Pull out the cable that is connected to the computer's network card and plug it into the corresponding connector on the game console. Then follow these steps in Xbox 360: My Xbox -> System Settings -> Network Settings -> Test Xbox Live Connection. If there is no internet connection, check your network settings. To do this, select "My Xbox" -> "System settings" -> "Network settings" -> "Change settings". However, this connection method has its drawback - the lack of access to the Internet on a PC.
Step 2
The second option is to connect the console using a computer. In this case, working with the Internet will be available for each of the devices. Install the second network card in the computer system unit. Connect your Xbox 360 Elite to it using the supplied cable.
Step 3
Next, on the computer, select "Start" -> "Control Panel" -> "Network Connections". In the window that appears, two connections will be displayed: the first is a computer with the Internet, the second is a computer with a game console. Open the properties of the second connection and in the TCP / IP section specify the IP address 192.168.0.1, the subnet mask 255.255.255.0. Save your changes. On Xbox 360 Elite, go to My Xbox -> System Settings -> Network Settings -> Change Settings and set the same values.
Step 4
The third option is to connect the Xbox 360 Elite game console using a router. To do this, connect one end of the network cable to the set-top box, and insert the other into the corresponding socket of the router. If you're using a Wi-Fi router, connect the included wireless module to your Xbox 360 Elite. Turn it on and wait until the connection is automatically established. If you need to configure it manually, go to "My Xbox" -> "System settings" -> "Network settings" -> "Change settings".
