The need to change the mac-address of the computer's network card may arise if the Internet provider provides access to the Internet at the mac-address of the client's computer network card. In this case, you will not be able to access the Internet if you replace the network card in your computer with another without coordinating this replacement with your provider.

Step 1
To find out the mac-address of the network card of the computer from which you access the Internet, click "Start", then "Run", write in the cmd line and in the window that opens, type ipconfig / all. In the next window, find your network adapter and write down the group of numbers in the line "Physical address". This is the mac-address of your network card. It will look like this: 00-0E-2E-30-21-08.
Step 2
Replace the mac-address of your new network card with the mac-address of the card with which you are "tied" to your ISP. This can be done using Windows tools. Right-click on the “My Computer” icon and then select “Device Manager” (Computer management). In the network adapters section, right click on your network adapter and select properties. In the window that appears, click the "Advanced" tab. Click on the line “Network address” (Locally Administered Address or Network address) and in the line “Value” (value) enter the new address (only numbers, no dashes). Click OK and restart your computer.
Step 3
Check the mac-address of the network card using the above method.
