Necessary

  • - computer with Internet access;
  • - Winamp player;
  • - DSP plugin;
  • - a selection of audio files.

Instructions

Step 1

Download on the net and install the latest Winamp player on your home computer. When installing, follow the instructions of the program. There are no additional requirements for the installation of the player that will be used for broadcasting purposes.

Step 2

At the end of the installation of the program, attach a special Winamp DSP Plugin to it, which is a software module that improves sound processing. It is thanks to the DSP sound plug-in that Winamp provides high quality music playback.

Step 3

Configure the plugin. To do this, click on the "Service" tab on the top panel of the player. In the drop-down menu, select the "Parameters" line, after which the corresponding window will open.

Step 4

Select the required DSP plug-in from the Plugins menu. This will open a new window allowing you to configure the module.

Step 5

In the "Address" field, enter the address of the server through which the broadcast is carried out. The address must be sent to you by your provider after registration. Also enter the broadcasting port in the field of the same name and the corresponding password in the "Password" field.

Step 6

At the bottom of the same window, check the boxes "Use SHOUTcast v1" and "Automatic reconnection on connection failure".

Step 7

Go to the "Encoder" tab. Select the "MP3 Encoder" configuration. Put down the bitrate below, which should fully correspond to the tariff plan of the account registered for you.

Step 8

Connect to the server. To do this, use the "Connect" button. If you have set the above parameters correctly, the status bar will display data on the status of the current broadcast and the amount of information sent in bytes.

Step 9

To specify the parameters of your radio (ICQ number, home page address, and so on), click the "Yellow Pages" button. Fill in the required fields in the window that opens. The information you specified will then be available to the listeners. This completes the setup. Now all the songs from the playlist you prepared in advance will be streamed to the network.
