To remove the SIM card from a regular phone, you would have to first remove the back cover and pull out the battery. In the case of the iPhone, everything is much simpler.
Necessary
- - original iPhone version 3 or higher;
- - Apple's branded key or any sharp object (needle, paper clip).
Instructions
Step 1
Turn off your iPhone. To do this, hold down the shutdown button for a few seconds and slide your finger across the slider on the screen.
Step 2
Find the SIM card tray. On the iPhone 3, it sits on top, between the off button and the headphone jack. The iPhone 4 and 5 have it on the side.
Step 3
Look at the tray. There is a small hole near it. Press it with the Apple key (if you have one), or with something sharp, such as a paper clip. The tray springs back and out of the phone.
Step 4
Slide the SIM card gently into the tray and push it back into the phone.
Please note that different versions of iPhone support different versions of SIM cards. iPhone 3 supports MiniSIM (standard size), iPhone 4 supports MicroSIM, iPhone 5 supports NanoSIM. You can get a SIM-card of a different size in the communication salon of your mobile operator.
