Tablet computers

Tablet computers are devices that run an operating system and have a larger screen size than a mobile phone. Tablet PCs are designed to perform various tasks. So, on these devices, you can comfortably edit office documents, watch videos in higher resolution, listen to music, work with graphic editors, read e-books, run all kinds of games.

The functionality of the tablet can be expanded by connecting an additional keyboard, which can make typing and operating the device more convenient.

Tablets vary in specs and offered screen sizes. Some of the most popular devices on the market are the iPad running iOS, a mobile operating system developed by Apple. The device is capable of performing almost any multimedia task and also belongs to the category of tablets.

Smartphone

Like tablet computers, smartphones run an operating system. Their distinctive feature is their small size. Most of the smartphones have more modest characteristics compared to tablets, which are enough to serve a relatively small screen and software filling.

Smartphones are capable of performing multimedia functions, working with several applications at the same time. The devices allow making voice calls and SMS messaging. There is no function to make a voice call on tablets.

Cellular telephone

Today, the definition of a "cell phone" refers to devices that are capable of making voice calls over cellular channels without the need to connect to a dedicated telephone line. Smartphones can also be classified as cell phones.

Like smartphones, regular phones can have a touchscreen and support both video and audio playback.

Mobile phones are not smartphones either, i.e. devices that work without a preinstalled operating system. Conventional devices do not support multifunctionality and full launch of several applications at once due to the specifics of the work and the device. However, if a phone is capable of sending data over a cellular network, it can be called a cellular phone.
