First, find the corresponding pair of connectors on your TV and system unit. In modern plasma and LCD TVs, there are the following types of connectors in various combinations: HDMI, VGA, SCART and channels for connecting component cables.

Computer video adapters usually have VGA, DVI and HDMI channels. Note that it is more important to use the connectors that carry the digital signal. This will maximize the image quality. You may need adapters to connect some ports, such as VGA-DVI or DVI-HDMI. Connect the selected ports on the TV and the system unit.

Turn on both devices. Open the TV settings menu and set the desired port as the main input source.
