An emulator is a program that allows you to simulate the operation of a game console on a personal computer or other device. Control sources can be mouse, keyboard or joystick. In this case, the latter must be configured separately.
Instructions
Step 1
Run the ePSXe software to configure the emulator. Click on the "Config" button, which will take you to the BIOS setup window. If you run the emulator for the first time, then you need to go through all the configuration items and specify the necessary parameters. After you have indicated the required plug-in in the window and configured it for sound, video, etc., click the "Next" button. Go to the Configurating the Pads window, which configures input sources such as mouse, keyboard, or joystick.
Step 2
Press the "Controller 1" button to configure the joystick to the emulator. In the upper right corner, click on the drop-down arrow and select the type of joystick. Typically "Digital Only" is configured.
Step 3
Set the vibration strength of the joystick if it supports this function. To do this, specify the necessary parameters in the "Rumble" section, which is located on the right side of the settings window. Specify parameters such as "Type", "Bug Motor", "Small Motor". Configure the device empirically, or specify the data recommended in the instruction manual.
Step 4
Customize the joystick control buttons for the emulator. To do this, click on the corresponding cell to activate the input and press the desired button on the joystick associated with this command.
Step 5
Click the "OK" button to save the joystick settings. If some parameters were entered incorrectly or if you want to reconfigure the device, then click on the “Clear” button in the same window. If you are using two joysticks in the emulator, then follow the same procedure by pressing the "Controller 2" button in the "Configurating the Pads" window. When you are finished configuring the joystick for the emulator, click the Next button and then Done to close the settings window and go to the main menu of the emulator.
