Mac computer to TV connection problem mostly affects Mac Mini models. The procedure itself, like the vast majority of operations in computers manufactured by Apple, does not require special knowledge and special training. The principle of the company is “It just works”.
Instructions
Step 1
Check your TV's instructions to determine the type of connector that will connect your Mac to your TV. Possible options are: - DVI, which is a digital interface used both in TVs and computers (for high-definition color TVs);
- HDMI, which has a different physical connector that allows the transmission of an audio signal (for high definition color TV);
- VGA included in the package (for high definition color TV);
- Composite, which is the most common (for analog TV);
- S-Video. dividing the video signal into separate channels (for analog TV).
Step 2
Set the "System Preferences" on the "Monitor" panel to a resolution value that is as close as possible to the native resolution of the TV.
Step 3
Do not use interlaced scan mode when using progressive scan mode.
Step 4
Expand the System Preferences link and go to Monitors to resize and center the desktop when the menu bar goes beyond the TV screen.
Step 5
Specify the "Options" item and uncheck the "Overscan" box.
Step 6
Return to the Monitors menu and go to the Color tab to perform the contrast and brightness correction operation.
Step 7
Specify the color profile of your TV model and click the "Calibrate" button.
Step 8
Click the "Continue" button and follow the recommendations of the calibration wizard.
Step 9
Make sure the TV is turned on: - noise cancellation;
- contrast optimizer;
- black optimizer;
- white optimizer;
- sharpness;
- auto color correction.
