Sony Ericsson mobile phones are today one of the leading links in a chain called mobile communications. Each new phone model represents an improved version of the previous model with the inclusion of new functions or options. The emergence of a phone with an active joystick caused a wave of criticism, both positive and negative. Joysticks in Sony Ericsson phones become inoperative over time - this is due to poor protection of the joystick from dust. Joystick repair is a sum of a few simple steps.

Necessary

A mobile phone with a joystick, a small screwdriver, machine oil, a syringe with a needle

Instructions

Step 1

The main problem with joysticks in Sony Ericsson phones is poor tightness. Sand, dust, any loose substance can sneak into the phone through the joystick. Therefore, it is enough to disassemble it, lubricate it and our joystick will work again. Disassembling phones of this brand is quite simple, but keep in mind that before disassembling the case, you must close the camera window, if there is one, otherwise your camera will no longer be closed. Use a small screwdriver or thin knife to remove any small screws.

Step 2

They removed the top cap, take a new syringe, fill up the usual machine oil. Inject oil between the base of the joystick and the metal body. Rotate the joystick from side to side to distribute the oil evenly. Excess oil must be removed with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol. If alcohol gets on the circuitry or phone screen, it will have to be carried to a repair shop.

Step 3

So that you do not have to repeat this operation again, use small pieces of foam rubber, which must be pushed into the grooves through which dust enters. The foam can be stained with a marker or a pen with a gel refill.
