Modern life is so dynamic and active that many people often have to make many phone calls in one day. In order not to miss the most important of them - from a colleague or a loved one - it is better to take care of connecting the second line on the phone in advance.
Instructions
Step 1
Most often, the "Standby" mode is used as the second line on the mobile phone. Before connecting it to your phone, add this service to your tariff plan. To do this, call the mobile operator on the short technical support number and ask to activate the "Call waiting" mode. As soon as the operator makes changes to the tariff plan - as a rule, the service is connected for free - you can start changing the settings on the phone itself.
Step 2
To activate the connected “Call Waiting” service, go to the mobile phone menu and click on the “Options” or “Settings” item, depending on the model of the device. Then find the function "Call", "Phone" or another function by analogy and check the box next to the "Call waiting" mode. Thus, you will switch the service to active mode.
Step 3
When you hear a beep during the next conversation, look at the screen. If the display shows a message about the call of the second subscriber, press the "answer" button and start talking without interrupting the line of the first call. The previous subscriber will listen to the standard waiting melody at this time.
Step 4
If you want to connect a second line to a landline phone, then first check if the device supports this mode. Some older telephones are not able to switch conversation modes from one line to another. If you have just such an outdated model, buy a new model in a cellular salon or a home appliance store. Then contact the operator of the telephone company that provides you with landline telephone service. Bring a specific package of documents, write an application according to the sample and wait until the second fixed line is connected according to the processed application.
