If you can't press buttons on your TV remote, or if the buttons are pressed but nothing happens, your remote probably needs a little repair. It is very easy to make at home - most often the cause of breakdown is the usual contamination of the buttons.

Instructions

Step 1

First of all, check the operability of all the batteries on your remote control (as a rule, these are batteries). If they are already out of order, then replace them with new ones. If, after the procedure for replacing the batteries, the remote control buttons still do not work as they should or do not work at all, then proceed with the repair of your control panel.

Step 2

If the body of your remote control is connected with screws, then carefully unscrew the screws with a screwdriver of the desired shape and size. Fold them in a prominent place, preferably on a white sheet of paper, so as not to get lost, as they tend to get lost.

Step 3

If the body of the remote control consists of two parts, connected by latches, then take a flat screwdriver, pry it at the junction of the parts and remove one of the halves of the body of the control panel.

Step 4

Now, very carefully, so as not to damage the contacts, pull the batteries and the electrical board with contacts out of the case. Check the rubber buttons with contacts for all kinds of dirt and irregularities - they may have worn out.

Step 5

If any buttons are worn out, they will no longer work. We'll have to go to extremes. Carefully cut them out with nail scissors and replace them with command buttons of the same shape and size that you usually do not use.

Step 6

Take a cotton swab or cotton swab. Clean the contacts gently. Do not use any cleaning agent under any circumstances - only a dry cotton swab.

Step 7

Now assemble the remote control in reverse order. First put the electrical board in place, followed by the batteries. Connect the elements of the case, press until it clicks - if there was a click, it means that the case is connected.

Step 8

In the event that your remote control is badly worn out or badly damaged, if the integrity of the contacts or the board itself is broken, then keep in mind that another remote control can be purchased in some stores and retail outlets. Remotes are sold for many TV models, you can buy a new one or you can buy a used one. There are also universal remotes on sale that fit almost all TV models.
