Explay MP3 players are reliable enough, but they can fail if dropped or wet. If your turntable is out of warranty, you can try to disassemble and repair the unit at home.
Instructions
Step 1
Disconnect all cables from the player: for data transmission, charging, audio signal to headphones, etc. Remove all removable parts such as memory card or battery. Remove the telescopic antenna from the Explay T35TV equipped with an analogue TV tuner. To prevent the removed parts from getting lost, put them in a suitable box.
Step 2
Find the screws on the back wall and remove all of them. To do this, use a cell phone repair screwdriver by inserting a tip that matches the slot configuration into its handle. Also look for screws in the battery compartment, under nameplates, etc. Turn them out as well. To avoid getting lost, attach them to a small magnet.
Step 3
Carefully split the body of the player in two at the seam. Do not apply significant force, otherwise the latches will not open, but will break.
Step 4
If the player has a built-in battery, disconnect it. Do not short-circuit it during this operation. Remember how it was connected. Set it aside.
Step 5
Replace the faulty component in the player: button, display, etc. If necessary, repair the defects in the soldering of non-defective parts. Solder them carefully so as not to short the leads together. If there is white plaque on the board, remove it with pure alcohol (do not use alcoholic drinks for this - they contain water). Do not allow alcohol to enter the display. Wait until it dries completely, otherwise, after applying the supply voltage, it may catch fire from an accidental spark.
Step 6
If the battery is built-in, put it back and connect, observing the polarity. Reassemble the player in reverse order.
Step 7
Reinstall any accessories removed from the player. Connect headphones and data cable to it. Check all its functions in action: data transmission, reception of analog TV broadcasts (for the Explay T35TV model), playback of audio and video files, etc.
