When moving or buying a new apartment, you may need to install a doorbell. Today, there is hardly an apartment that does not have a doorbell installed. If you want to change the old call to a new one, then there is no simpler task: relying on the wire connections with the bell and the bell button, replace the old components with the new components of the call.
Necessary
Electric bell, tester screwdriver, connecting wires (if not available)
Instructions
Step 1
If, when installing the wire, you notice that the wire is torn or broken, you need to build it up. In order to build up the wire, first of all, de-energize the apartment. This can be done in the electric meter, which is located on your staircase. After extending the wire, use a screwdriver with a tester. The light will light up only with a high-quality extension of the wire.
Step 2
Most often, when moving to a new house, four identical wires stick out from the wall. To quickly mount a call, you need to understand the circuit for mounting your call.
Use the picture for a better understanding of the installation of the electric bell. You also need to know where the "phase" and "zero" are.
Step 3
Take the bell and hook the wire # 4 coming out of it to the zero output # 6. Connect wire # 3 to wire # 1 (the first wire of the bell button). Hook wire No. 2 (the second wire of the bell button) to wire No. 5 (phase). Apply insulation to the exposed parts of the wires. Turn on the power in the apartment and check the bell. It should work.
Step 4
If, after all, the call does not work, then there are several options:
- check the call itself for correct connection;
- check the bell button for correct connection.
If, in your opinion, nothing helps, then call the local housing office, the electrician will do everything for a small amount of money. You can also ask what was the reason for the "silence" of the call. For the future it will be a lesson to you.
