Many people who have bought a Lenovo phone are faced with the problem of setting certain music to a contact in the phone book. But in fact, everything is quite simple, although it was not without pitfalls that prevent smartphone users from installing ringtones on contacts.
Instructions
Step 1
It would seem that it could be simpler: you go to the desired contact in the phone book, choose a melody and put it on! But this option does not always work, sometimes there is simply no function of changing the melody on the contacts in the phone book. How, then, can you set a melody to a contact in Lenovo smartphones?
Step 2
So, the melody cannot be installed on a contact if it is saved on the SIM card of your smartphone. Also, if the contacts were synchronized, for example, you copied them to the memory of the Lenovo smartphone from Google contacts, then when assigning a melody, the phone gets confused, giving out as a result a standard ringtone.
Step 3
The problem can be solved simply: transfer the contacts located on the SIM card to the phone memory. To do this, on the desired contact, press the menu button (located at the bottom of the smartphone) and select "Import / Export". If your contacts are both on your SIM card and in the phone's memory, there is a chance that the melody will not work anyway.
Step 4
If you want to install a non-standard melody on your smartphone, first create a media / audio / ringtones folder on the memory card, then drop the necessary music files into it. Just keep in mind that if Cyrillic is present in the tags of the mp3 file, then the display will be incorrect - instead of the song name you will see an incomprehensible set of characters. The same applies to setting melodies for different events, alarm clock and interface sounds. Just create your folders for them in the root directory of the Lenovo phone memory card. For media / audio / notifications events, for interface sounds - media / audio / ui, for an alarm clock - media / audio / alarms.
