Owners of Apple phones are often faced with those who cannot put the song on the iPhone ring. This is due to the fact that a special m4r format is required to set your favorite melody.
Instructions
Step 1
Select the song you want to ring your iPhone. Connect your phone to your computer via usb wire or establish a wi-fi connection.
Step 2
Open the iTunes iPhone app and add the file you want to your library. Listen to the song and select a 30-second section (this is the maximum ringtone length).
Step 3
Right-click on the track you want to set as a ringtone. In the menu that opens, select the "roll up" line, and then "options". The start and stop time buttons will appear in the tab that appears. Specify in them the seconds at which the excerpt from the song that will be installed later on the iPhone call will begin and which will end. After clicking the "ok" button, the settings will be saved and the dialog box will close.
Step 4
Right-click on the selected song again and select "create aac version". A copy of it will appear under the track, but it will have the required length no more than 30 seconds. Drag the resulting file to the desktop using the mouse.
Step 5
Right-click on the song on your desktop and select the "rename" section. Write any name or keep the previous one by changing the file format from m4a to m4c (in the name after the dot).
Step 6
Double-clicking the ringtone will open in the program in iTunes, and you can see it in the "sounds" folder. To be able to put a song on an iPhone call, synchronize your phone with your computer. After that, you can find the desired track on your device.
Step 7
Disconnect your iPhone. Go to settings and select the "sounds" section. In the ringtone field, you need to check the box next to the desired melody and exit the menu. Thus, you will be able to put the song on the iPhone call.
