In the 21st century, modern youth, unfortunately, read very little. But there are still people who are very fond of this occupation. It is precisely such a person who may face a choice: which book is better to choose - electronic or paper.

The average cost of a regular paper book can be quite high. Sometimes it's not a pity to give a lot of money for good works. But what if this book is not one, but part of a whole series of 10 works. Then the total price will be quite high and you can understand that this is a rather expensive pleasure.

There are now special e-books. Their main function is to read books electronically, i.e. reading from the screen. This device saves money and space. For example, when going on vacation, you do not have to carry multivolume works with you, you just need to download your favorite book, or several books, to your device and enjoy reading them on the trip. The average weight of an e-book is only 200 grams.

Almost all literature, both fiction and popular science, is freely available on the Internet, so this will not be a problem. The cost of an e-book will be directly proportional to its capabilities. There are books that allow you to listen to music, watch pictures and even go online, and there are those that are intended exclusively for reading.

When choosing an e-book, you need to clearly understand for what purposes it will be used. The most important selection criterion is the screen. It is best when the background is gray, and as close as possible to the color of a regular paper book. Usually such books are called ink books, they do not have backlighting, but their eyes do not deteriorate from their use, the eyes do not get tired so much.

Now e-books are gradually gaining popularity, they oust their paper counterpart from the market. But connoisseurs of books believe that only paper can convey the smell of life and the characteristics of the hero of the work, which the electronic version cannot do. But the e-book, despite this drawback, is more functional.

By preferring e-books, we conserve nature, since for its production it is not necessary to cut down trees, as for the production of paper books.
