Before writing any information to the memory card, make sure that it will not do any harm to your computer.
Necessary
Computer, memory card, antivirus
Instructions
Step 1
Do not open the memory card menu immediately after inserting it into the USB port. If there is a virus on the flash drive, opening it will infect your computer. To make sure that the memory card is not dangerous to your PC, check its contents for viruses. To do this, insert the USB flash drive into the port and open the "My Computer" folder. Right-click on the detected device and select "Scan for viruses". If the antivirus does not detect malware on the media, you can open the flash drive section.
Step 2
To write information to a memory card, find the files you need on your computer and highlight them. Click on the selected area with the right mouse button and select "Copy". Open the memory card section and right-click on it. After selecting the "Insert" item, click on it and wait until the transfer of files to the device is completed.
Step 3
After all files have been transferred, remove the memory card as follows. On the taskbar, right-click on the USB port icon and select "Safely Remove Hardware". By clicking on this option, wait until a notification window appears that the USB flash drive can be removed from the computer. Only then remove the memory card. If you simply unplug the device from the port, you could damage the files and documents stored on it.
