Quite often, a home projector that has been around for a couple of years starts to go awry. More precisely, the image that is seen on the screen becomes blurry regardless of the correct settings of the device. It is possible that the mechanism needs cleaning. Regardless of whether the projector is old or new, the technique for cleaning it will be the same.

Necessary

  • - modern cleaning agent for optical instruments;
  • - cleaning wipes for optics;
  • - a can of deionized compressed air;
  • - set of screwdrivers.

Instructions

Step 1

First, clean the outside of the projector only when it has cooled down completely. Then detach the lamp and lens of the device, as well as its lamp, and start cleaning the inside of the case. Use a can of deionized compressed air to blow out debris from all openings in the shroud. The dust will become loose.

Step 2

Now take a thin, clean art brush # 3 or # 4 and brush around all the cracks. Then, lightly dampen a soft cloth with a special lens cleaner available from photo stores. And wipe the entire surface of the projector from dirt and fingerprints.

Step 3

Take the optics and also blow off all the dust from the lens with compressed air. Next, apply a drop of the above cleaning agent to the inside and outside of it. Then use soft optics cleaning wipes by gently wiping the glass with circular motions. Avoid scratching or touching the optics with bare hands. Remove any excess moisture with a second tissue.

Step 4

Then proceed with cleaning the lamp. Also, first blow it off with a can of compressed air and brush all around it with a brush. Then wipe the mirror near the lamp with a special liquid for optics.

Step 5

In the same place you will find a condenser lens, which is screwed on with a clamp. Unscrew it using a screwdriver. But first lay a soft, clean cloth on the table surface. And gently wipe the optical instrument with a lens tissue, holding the edges and touching only with the tissue. For convenience, you can place it on the prepared place.

Step 6

Now screw everything as it was, collect all the parts and the body of the device in their original position and connect the projector. In the first minutes after cleaning, a faint smell of burning can be felt. If in the next half hour the strange spirit does not pass, then this means that there is still dust or moisture in the projector, or that something is screwed on incorrectly.
