Connecting and installing the scanner
Before performing scanning operations, it is necessary to correctly connect the device to the computer and configure the system to work. First, connect the device to an electrical outlet, and then plug the supplied USB cable into the scanner and the corresponding port on the computer case. Insert the CD with the drivers that came with the purchase into the CD drive of your computer. Turn on the scanner using the corresponding button on the body. As soon as the device is detected in the system, you will see a corresponding message. Wait until the message about the successful installation of the driver appears and restart the computer to start working with the hardware.
If you cannot install the driver, contact the technical support service of the device manufacturer, whose phone number can be found on the official website.
If you do not have a driver disc, you can go to the official website of your device manufacturer and download the required software version from the Help and Support or Downloads section. Run the downloaded file and install the driver. Then restart your computer to complete the procedure. Now you can start using the scanner installed in the system.
Scanning
You should start using the hardware by running the scanning software that should have been installed with the driver. The application shortcut should appear on the desktop. If the scanning utility has not been installed, insert the disc again into the computer drive and install the programs that appear in the autorun menu. The required application can also be downloaded from the official website of the device manufacturer.
If you are not satisfied with the scan result, try placing the scanned document better in your device. Then run the program again.
Place the document you want to create an electronic copy of in the scanner with the side you want to save facing down. Make sure the document is laid out correctly to get the best possible result. Close the scanner lid, and in the scanning software window, click Scan to start the procedure for checking and saving the photo. After completing the operation, you will be prompted to view the result. If you are satisfied with the image quality, you can start working on saving a copy of another document. After scanning is complete, close the program and turn off the scanner using the button on the case.
