Step 1
Take the player to any manufacturer's service center. If there is no such center in your city, you can use the paid services of any small center for the repair of cell phones and multimedia. Bring your device, explain what you want and just wait for the professionals to do their job. The procedure will take no more than one working day. It is quite possible that after handing over in the morning, you will receive the player back in the evening.
Step 2
Try updating the system yourself. The easiest way is via the Internet. If your gadget supports a wireless internet connection, connect to it. In the settings section, find the item "about system" or "update". Start scanning for new firmware versions. If the player finds more recent versions, it will offer you to download and install them. You just have to wait a little.
Step 3
Download the update manually. To do this, go to the website of the company that released your player, select your model and go to the download section. Find the files you are interested in in the section. As a rule, this will be a regular installer. Download it and run it. When the installer asks for the installation location, specify the player's disk. To do this, it must be connected to a computer.
Step 4
Select the second option if your model does not support the first. It consists in downloading a special archive, which will need to be launched from the player itself in order for it to install it. To do this, move the downloaded file to the disk or flash memory of the player. Then start the player and find the installer in the explorer. Start it up. The screen may go blank for a while - do not worry, most likely the process of replacing files is underway. Do not press anything and wait for the operation to complete.
